Christmas Eve and Christmas Morning

We missed Church:( Due to the 24 hour BUG!!
Christmas eve was a rough day with Mama and Dada both sick.
But we still want Austin to enjoy opening his Mrs Claus Present
(growing up ours was ALWAYS new jammies- his will too)

It was magical to witness him experience Christmas
Look Dada at my new tractor Santa brought me
So fun!
Love that face!
Busy playing
Mama's Sweet Boy
Stocking Goodies!
He LOVED opening presents!
Helping Daddy open his gifts!

Playing with his new cell phone that daddy got him!
New slippers- that daddy picked out! so cute!
Daddy also got him a sweater, t-shirt and a tonka airplane
Austin found my candy cane, took off the wrapper and went to town:)
The aftermath....

We had such a fun morning opening presents as a family.
Chris' gifts: golf day at President Reserve, new shoes, 2 tools, remote timer for the camera, and a picture of Austin hands and feet for his office
Laura's gifts: software for my embroidery machine, TN charm, cookbook, new PJ's and 2 gift certificates.

Hughes Christmas

We arrived at Nana and Papa Mike's at 10 am.
Mom had Sausage balls and muffins for breakfast
(Chris and I were ready to eat after 36 hours of no food)
Notice the small tree?
Mom and Dad's tree broke after stringing the lights,
they had just sold the Suburban
and had no car to go get a real tree in:)
So they decided to use Lisa's tree (apartment size)
Too funny!
Austin and his new car
He opened all of his presents sitting in his car!
Dad got golf clubs!
Chris is excited to have another golfer in the family!
So happy in his car
Cheese!

My FABULOUS FAMILY- I am so blessed to have them close by.
I can't imagine a Christmas not at home.
(look back at the first blog and see how Austin has changed:)
Silly Faces with Papa Mike
Nana and Papa Mike gave Austin: the car, alphabet pal, book with cd of songs, big picture book, lots of cute clothes,
Aunt Lisa gave Austin a see and say
Chris and I left with many fun gifts: tools, battery charger, golf balls, fiesta serving pieces, a market tote, clothes, cds, and griddle.
Aunt Lisa gave us the set of Sweet Pickle books (we had them as kids, she found them on ebay) such a special gift, I can know share them with my kids.
Special thanks to my mom for cooking a wonderful Christmas Dinner/Lunch.
We had a wonderful day.
We loved playing Wheel of Fortune on the Wii:)

Christmas With Grandma and PapPaw

Since we had to miss the Jenkins' Christmas Eve Brunch, we went to see Grandma and PapPaw on Sunday. We braved the snowy roads and headed south.
Pappaw made us some yummy ham sandwiches.
Grandma and PapPaw gave Austin his OWN keys and cell phone and a cool train
Austin saw present that were not unwrapped so he decided to fix that...
Fortunately it was to him from Aunt Zan, Uncle Keith, Katie and Zack.
It was a circus animal train.
This is his say cheese smile... he is such a ham
Uncle Charlie, Aunt Christie, Ben and Julia gave Austin a fun Leap Frog Car
Grandma and PapPaw gave me a gift card to Joann's. We know that will be put to good use:)
Grandma also cross stitched a Bless our home sign for us- so special
They gave Chris new bird feeders and a great Tennessee gardening book (guide)
Thanks so much for all of our fun stuff, we enjoyed spending time together.
Too bad our Titans lost to KC:(

A Fun Week with Daddy

Chris had Tues the 21st through Sunday the 26th off from work.
We enjoyed having him home with us.
Daddy went Christmas Shopping on Tuesday, we met him at Chick-fil-a for a quick lunch.
On Wednesday we took him to the Discovery Center (Nana gave us a year pass for Christmas)
We had such a great time hanging out as a family.
For dinner we treated ourselves to Bonefish Grill- $5 bang bang shrimp
fillet and crab cake, baked fish and cream burlee to top it all off.
Unfortunately THE TERRIBLE 24 HOUR bug hit our house at 10:30pm on the 23rd.
We had to miss the Jenkins' Christmas Eve celebrations- we were so disappointed, but we were in no condition to leave the house, nor did we want anyone else to get our germs.
It was a rough day with Mommy and Daddy both under the weather.
Austin was a trooper, I do not think he felt good either.
I was so worried that Christmas day was going to be ruined too.
But fortunately we both woke up feeling MUCH BETTER.

Merry Christmas

A few Fun Pictures of Austin and the tree!

First Snow

I was so excited to take Austin outside to play in the snow.
I put him in his snow bibs and I bundled him up
The mitten did not work so well...so we went without
He fell into the snow and the tears began (he does not cry much)
so I knew this was not going well
What is this stuff? I HATE it!
This is NOT FUN!
I thought maybe I could get one cute picture:)
We headed inside...there will be many more snow days that he will not want to come inside
I will try again!
